Iona Bernard

Iona is a qualified Osteopath from the University College of Osteopathy, London. Originally from France, she moved to London to complete her masters degree. Iona is passionate about helping you identify the processes involved in your presentation to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Her aim is to accompany you through your recovery until you’re able to function without discomfort.

Iona takes a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. She uses structural, cranial, visceral, and functional osteopathy techniques to help tissue recovery. She also teaches patient-specific exercises that help you through your recovery.

Iona enjoys working with patients from all walks of life - from desk-based workers to pregnant women, and elite athletes. As a qualified dance teacher and ex-competitive dancer, Iona has a particular interest in treating performing artists. In her consultations, you’ll be able to discuss and analyze your training style to improve your performance. You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss effective treatment strategies to help you recover from sports injuries.

Iona has extensive clinical experience in treating pregnant women. She believes it is essential to accompany women through their pregnancy to avoid unnecessary pain. Through osteopathic treatment, Iona helps women feel more comfortable pre and post-pregnancy.
